A trip to europe for us

Happy Thanksgiving from Paris... We feel so blessed to be here.

We left Orcutt in the morning to drive up to San Fransico on November 21 to connect with our flight to London at 5:08. It took us 9 1/2 hours. My husband picked a Hilton out in the country. This boarding school was around the corner from our hotel and on our way walking 1.5 miles to the small town of Cebhorn.

This was the little shop that I found some soft cheese, olives and salad for lunch.
We stayed two days trying to get rested up with the time change.
Just before we were to board the train for Paris my husband dropped his ticket.
It took us 2.5 hours to take the train to Paris from London. Looking out the window showed how beautiful farms are in France. This is a picture of the apartment we rented for nine days. Very small. This evening we are going to walk around and see if we can find a place to eat. The owner of the apartment gave us a lot of leads of place to see and eat. This is so exciting.

Continuation of Creative Endeavor

When I was in a train station they had many magazine so I wanted to see what was going on in europe in the creative world. This magazine is from England and had many interesting art works. The cover has a necklace that was done with a mold and looks very unique. The page that is open is picture done in fabric.

While I was on my trip I bought yarn to make socks. They had some beautiful yarns. They are from Ireland, Sweden, Italy, Germany and Norway. The sock that I have gotten one made for my husband Jim is cashmere from Italy and feels so soft on his foot. He is anxiously waiting for the other one.

The cruise ended at Stockholm. It was one of my favorite places. I really liked the style of the buildings.

The boat was restored and was built in 1878. We spent four days and three nights on the boat. There were 66 locks to go through. We left from Gotenburg and ended in Stockholm.

Wild lupines were all along the sides of the roads.

My very favorite lilacs were in bloom. Some colors I had never seen before.

Many herbs right on the sidewalk at a little market looked very inviting.

You can still make a land telephone call in London.

Big Ben struck 4:00 in the afternoon when we were there.
Everyone has to see the palace. It sure is grand looking.
