McCalls6964 T-Shirt

I decided to see if I could get a basic T-Shirt to fit right. I used this pattern. I used view B. This is one of Patti's patterns, so the adjustment lines are on the pattern. It makes it easier to take on this project.  She also explains how to adjust the pattern. I used a size sixteen with my 40 1/2" bust measurement.
I did the neck binding like the pattern said and it turned out with gaps. Next time I will do the way that works for me.
It looks like I can let it out a little more through the hip area.
I bought Patti Palmers most recent update on her fitting book.
I tried the bust adjustment by adding a 1". It made the dart a little big so next time I will shift some of the dart to the armhole. I also lowered the bust dart too low and will raise it on the next one. I also made the dart too long and will make about 2 1/2" from the apex.
I also did the adjustment for a wider sleeve of 1 1/2". The sleeve was still too tight, so I let out the side seams 3/4" on both the sleeve and bodice. I will be making another shirt with the changes and see how it looks.

Sewing Workshop Cottage Shirt

I enjoyed using my South African fabric to make this shirt. It is a short shirt and has openings on the sides, so you have to wear a shirt under it. I put on a tank top and it worked well.
The lime green fabric was waxed South African fabric and all 100% cotton hand dyed. Their fabric is very high quality.
