Creating a jacket

I am creating a new jacket with several of my hand-dyed fabrics and two commercial fabrics. I will be speaking at our American Sewing Guild tomorrow night and put this jacket together part way so I could show how to put together a jacket with a muslin base. I also will be showing some of my garments with wearable art techniques.

Dyed Fabric

These are the pieces of muslin fabric I demonstrated for the class.

This is moss green and robin blue. I choose these colors by mistake, but now really like the effect.
This is brilliant blue and robin blue.

Dyeing Class

These are students that were in my class from the American Sewing Guild's Fabric Art Group learning how to dye fabric in containers. They did a nice job and had fun with colors.

Dyeing Fabric

Continuing to dye fabric and enjoying the colors that come up.

This one is sage green and emerald green.
This one is maroon and amethyst. I am learning a lot about colors doing this.

Discharge and Dyed Fabric

This is a piece of silk noil that I had dyed with olive drab procion dye. I did it twice because I didn't like the color and still didn't. So I took a brush with discharge paste and now I like it and one of these days it will get made up in something.
