Transformer Jacket

I think this jacket is so cool. It is made with a back pack inside of the jacket. You can put the jacket into the back of the jacket and it becomes a back pack. It has a place for a water bottle too. The pattern is a downloadable from Elle and Mac.

Felted Hat

This ia one of the projects that I worked on this stay at home time. I hadn't knitted for awhile and it was good to get back into it.
In PenWAG I took a workshop from Sue Keys and we made a silk hand dyed ribbon crimping arrangement. It worked out to compliment this hat very nicely.
It is a nice and warm hat too. I am looking forward to wearing it this winter.

New Jacket

I made this jacket with my hand dyed fabric and samples of block stamping that I did in a workshop.

Shirt Top

Used some of my dyed fabrics and some commercial fabrics for this shirt.
I used some muslin behind to anchor the pieced sections of this shirt.

This one I used some linen that I got from fabrics-store.com. They have some really nice linens. They have several free patterns that you can download, if you buy some fabric there.

Really happy with the pattern and the linen fabric that I used for this shirt.

Sewing Workshop Splice Top

I enjoyed doing this one as you can see. I had some real nice pieces of fabric that I had saved and it was time to use them.
This is silk from a kimono.
The sides are a good coordinate from another kimono.
This was a few pieces from a wedding kimono.

This was silk from my dyed fabrics.

This was a hand dyed that I did from linen from an old kimono.
I made the sleeves wider and I did a full bust adjustment to the pattern.

Cropped Pants

I love how these pants turned out. They are easy to make. I made a black linen pair too. I know I will be making more pairs.
The pattern said to hem 4" above the ankle. The picture doesn't show it that well, but they do look cropped. On my black pair I made them shorter because I didn't have enough fabric and they look good too.
I wanted you to see the tucks and pockets.
The fabric is linen from Marcy Tilton.

Nani Rio Coat

Made this coat from some upholstery fabric that I had from a long time ago. It worked out prefect for this coat. The collar around the back of the neck is a little different as it comes out with some of a ruffle. I used three of my polymer clay buttons that I had made sometime ago.

The coat had a opening in the center back, but I didn't see that the back was not cut on a fold so I put the openings on each side instead.
I used the larger size so that I would have enough room to wear something under the coat. This book has some interesting patterns which are included in the book. I am looking forward to trying a couple more in the future.

Holly Badgley Workshop

Our wearable art group PenWAG in Campbell, CA had Holly come and do a presentation on her trip to Japan and then a workshop on silk screening. I have enjoyed following her style on the internet for quite sometime.

This is a old linen man's shirt I found to recycle. I did some of her silk screening and then added some hand sewing.
I used jelly roll fabric for the trim.

The side slits. Also used a selvage from a knit fabric that I had saved. Made great trim.
 She does a unique pocket.
Added a old kimono the for the button loop.

Vogue 1637

I like the way the neck on this pattern is designed. I think next time I make it I would make the shirt smaller.
