I am truly delighted to be able to show you the first bloom of my orchards today. When I moved up here from the LA area I had several orchard plants. I didn't know that sometimes they have a freeze here and I lost all of the plants the first year I was here. I went to a estate sale a few weeks ago of a man that collected special orchards and was able to obtain about seven new plants. It is really fun to see what they look like as they begin blooming. Its it beautiful.

Another Version of Marcy's Pattern
This is another Vogue 8582. I silk screened the 2 way stretch knit. Took advantage of it being a knit and didn't turn hems on the bottom or on the sleeves. The neckline is just two cut stripes of fabric sewn around it. Very fast and easy to make. The best part is the fabric I got sometime ago in the fabric district in LA for $1. a yard.

Tye Dye T Shirts
These are the recent shirts that I dyed for the grandkids.
This one is bronze and golden yellow dyes. This one is fire red and amethyst.
This one is red wine and burgundy. I decided these color do not have enough variation and it would create a better effect if I had chosen colors that weren't so close in shades.

Honored
I just attended the Pacific International Quilting Show in Santa Clara today and was very honored to see my jacket won 1st in the jacket, vest and coat division. This is the first jacket that I have ever made with hand quilting and several quilting patterns which I learned from Rachel Clark in a workshop she taught. I feel very blessed to have been inspired and influenced by this great artist.

Buttons
I truly believe this was my blessed day. I filled up my car with many items that I needed to get rid off. Our church was having a white elephant sale and I was very pleased with myself on being able to part with so many things. After I dropped off my items I had to look at what others had brought to make sure there wasn't anything I should have. Of course, there was...a whole bag of old buttons that someone decided to part with. Some very old ones and big ones. I find that it hard to find big buttons that are different now days and now I have probably more then I will ever use. It will be so much fun including them in my future creations.

Marcy Tilton's Pattern
This is one of Marcy Tilton's newest patterns. I really like it. I have had so much fun working with the lycra knits. This pattern is perfect for that type of fabric.
I folded out the side and made a t-shirt from the pattern. I bought this fabric in Sweden and didn't have the jacket with me that I wanted to match it too.It matched perfectly. Just how many times can you do that?
This is a piece of fabric I bought from Marcy and I just love it. It is so soft. Great for travel.
This one was already done so it looked like I dyed it and even had sparkles on it.
Still thinking up some other things to do with this pattern. Just cut out another shirt. Will show you that one when I get it done.
