This a silk scarf that I used soy wax on and then painted with thicken procion dyes. I found that the soy wax will dissolve if too much moisture is put on it. After everything dried and I let it set for 24 hours I ironed it between paper towels and then washed it in the machine. The wax does come right out.

Classes
The classes look like they are beginning to be of interest to a few people. Some are very involved in the holidays and hope to come after the beginning of the year.
This is one of my first students trying out the soy wax and then painting with procion thicken dye. Yesterday I had a student that dyed velvet with procion dyes and they came out great. I think her success will bring in more students for the next class in a couple of weeks.
Maraya hadn't dyed fabrics before and now she is dyeing scarves and selling them in a high end shop in San Jose. Good for you Maraya.
