Another set of placemats

This one the darker color and the center is from a sheet. After my class we put all of the left over dye on it. Turned out really nice. The center is printed with a block that I made.

Another Silk Scarf

This one was fun. I rusted the silk first and then painted with dye and put salt and urea to create an effect.

It Looks Better

Decided to go back in and do it again and this time with a dark purple.

Shibori Scarf

I follow silk painters on facebook and have learned many things from them. This was one method of shibori shown.

I twisted a scarf and then wrapped it around a pvc pipe.
I used some left over dyes from painting a scarf. Then I let it dry and then I steamed it.
This has a little more white then I like, but I will work harder at putting in the dyes next time.

A New Collar

My second beaded collar. This one is special because the black stone was a cuff link of my Fathers. He doesn't wear his cuff links any more so I am going to put some into my jewelry that I make.
