New Scarves

I am busy making scarves to sell at the Harvest Festival in Paso Robles at the Vina Robles Gallery.
I silk screened the left one with apples and dyed it with procion dye. The one on the right was dyed with procion dye as well and clapped with a circle while dyeing. I added some dyed lace to the bottom of the scarf.

Wedding Placemats

I made another trapunto set of placemats and napkins for my husband's nephew's wedding. We were hoping to be able to be there this coming weekend, but the hurricane took away our space available seats. The wedding is in Princeton New Jersery.

Blooming Succulent

I have never seen a bloom on this succulent before. Doesn't it look pretty. I used to not like catus thinking they just had stickers and not realizing they were so pretty when they bloomed.

Dyeing Fabric Samples

This is the velvet scarf with grapes and leaves that was demostated for my class.
This was a piece of sheet that I poured all of the left over dyes on and it came really neat.

Demo turning out

Did a demo using procion dye with silk in a plastic glass for my class. I love the way it turned out. I did four more pieces tonight, so I would have some to make something out of in the future.

My favorite flower for today

I don't even know the name of this one. Every spring and fall Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens has a bulb sale. They have some very unusual ones and this is one of the ones that I got last fall. It was quite fun to see how it looks.
