I am sure looking at this picture. doesn't make sense how one could celebrate looking at the driveway of our house. In January a tree trimmer dumped his wood chips in our drive way. It filled this whole driveway. I have been working since January to transport the woodchips to the back yard to the various garden areas that I would love to not see weeds soon. Today I finished the pile and was able to drive the car in the garage.
This is one of the long paths that I filled with woodchips. I had to take out the weeds and trim the grass that was covering up the path. This was done with a wheel barrow most days. This a day to be recognized.

Quilted Purse
I pieced and quilted this purse. Added some vintage buttons.
I made this for the Artist Tour in San Luis Obispo in October. I used fabric samples for interior decorating. It makes it easy as all the samples were color coordinated.
Lined it and put in two pockets One has a zipper in it. One is the size of a cell phone. My Jonadele Fashions Label also.
One handle is longer then the other so that you can fit them into each other and put your arm through the longer handle. It makes it quite easy to carry.

Back to Dyeing
It feels so good to be back to dyeing. I just love to experiment with colors and see what effect I can get.
I have about 12 shirts that I had ordered to use for my grandchildren and they out grew that size. So I am dyeing them and will hope to sell them when I participate in the Artist Tour in San Luis Obispo in October.Sunday, August 4, 2013
Another Hat
I just got this hat. I didn't make it, but am having fun wearing it. Orange is one of the colors to wear this year.
Even have a flower in my garden to match.
The cats had to join in a hat look at, too.

Purse is done
As you remember I was working on the purse La Borsa by Meredith Burns.
This is the inside lining with the pockets. I made it from some kimono silk lining that I had over dyed.I like the different look of the shape the purse has. I found a old gold button and used a cord that was inside of a kimono for ties for the button loop. The cornor square has a old baptism dress on it.
This is the other side. The face is polymer clay. Some old laces and hand stitching. All quite fun. So happy to complete a project that has needed attention for sometime.
