Natural Dyeing

 I have never done natural dyeing before, but decided that I would like to give it a try. I have some pieces of silk from a kimono lining that I used to see what I could get. I soaked the pieces in alum. Then I went through my garden and clipped several flowers and red maple leaves. I had one orange and yellow dahlia, red onion skins that I used.

For a first try I think they came out pretty well.
