Claudia went on the metro to an area that had artist and interior decorations stores. I rested until 4:00 and then Claudia found a wonderful restaurant that had oysters, snails, shrimp, clams and crab. You can see what we had. Claudia had a raspberry drink. Then we ordered plater of seafood. This was quite a experience eating with a biology teacher. I hope they aren't alive. Oh, the snails have a door on them. The small shrimp were really good, but we both gave up because we had to eat the shell with the shrimp. We had two sauces to dip the fish in. One was mayonnaise based and the other was red vinegar with chopped onions. Everything was very good. The vegetables were done to a T. Turnip, asparagus, leek, carrots, tomato and green beans with pesto sauce.
At the end of our block that the hotel is on is a little street that has all kinds of shops. I took a few pictures to show some of the window displays. I had a ginger juice drink at the juice and smoothy shop.
My friend Claudia has done a lot of traveling and works at learning some words in the language she is in. But sometimes she forgets which country she is in. Yesterday at breakfast the waitress asked what room we were in and she told her in Spanish our room number. Today she was telling about something she bought in pounds instead of euros. Needless to say we are having a great time.
